Cost of Garage Conversion

A garage conversion is one of the most cost effective ways to expand your living space. On average it costs less than half the price of a similar sized extension or the fees and taxes that you would pay to move house.

Any investment must make financial and personal sense. Cost, budget and potential added value are all key to a successful project. We will always explore these aspects with you as part of the quotation process.

We will happily give an indicative price over the telephone after discussing your plans. We usually then arrange a full survey, completely free of charge with no obligation. We e-mail or send a paper copy of the quote with full breakdown of all costs and options to you within 48 hours.

Our quotations will always be completed by a member of staff with an honours Degree in Engineering. You can be assured of our accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving credentials. We have converted over 250 garages, so we really are experts in our field.

We are more than happy to discuss any project and any budget, with absolutely no obligation whatsoever. We are not pushy, we don’t have to be. Most of our work comes from our reputation, reviews or client’s family and friends. Please call us on 01952 840 634 or 07729 437 217 for a quotation.

Average Estimated UK Garage Conversion Costs

Each garage conversion is unique and as such there will be inevitable variations in price. However, when comparing costs it is important to check if the quotes include VAT, building control application and certification, call back costs, extras etc.

Some unscrupulous builders will not include these at quotation stage but when the work begins add these on when you and your home are in a vulnerable position.

We do not operate like this. We believe in complete transparency and include VAT and all building control costs in our price. We clearly document everything in the quote by breaking it all down and specifying materials. Anything that changes throughout the build, whether it be to raise to reduce the cost, is driven by the customer – not us. If you wish to change the spec we of course oblige, but we explain the price change first and both sign a form documenting this so there are no surprises on the bill. We will never change the spec or the cost unless it is at the customers request.

The price we quote is the price you pay.
